Welcome to The River
Our History
Rivers Church, formerly named Revive Church, is an exciting and thriving ministry founded in Lexington Ky. Our first gathering was in February of 2014 on Thursday Evenings at the Village Branch Library. We began only with bible study. After a swift increase in attendance and interest, it was requested that we start having weekly worship encounters. After much prayer and direction given, on August 31, 2014, we had our official launch service at Vineyard Community Church in Lexington, Ky. We began at 2:22pm.
We were fortunate to begin in our own building located at 365 Waller Ave STE 214 in Lexington, Ky. Looking ahead, in the mist of many challenges and changes, our church continue to evolve. After 2016 greeted us, growth, reshaping and restructuring took place through our ministry.
In our obedience to this directive, the mission of our church came alive. We have seen countless miracles such as Cancer disappearing, limbs grow and many other creative miracles; too many to name. Within the same month, our DNA of Healing and Deliverance became a weekly plan of the Holy Spirit and became the normal for us.
Our movement has grown and shifted into something that we would never expect. We are the house of Miracles, Signs and Wonder and taking it to the nations. Rivers is known for Encounter. Here is home. Here is family. Here is where God resides. Right here at The Rivers.
To be a gathering place for people to be carried by Rivers into life-changing encounters with Jesus.
Our Mission
Main Scripture: Isaiah 41:18-20
18 I will make rivers flow on barren heights,
and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water,
and the parched ground into springs.
19 I will put in the desert
the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive.
I will set junipers in the wasteland,
the fir and the cypress together,
20 so that people may see and know,
may consider and understand,
that the hand of the Lord has done this,
that the Holy One of Israel has created it.
